Breadcrumb Schema Generator
Breadcrumb Schema Generator is a free tool that makes the code for a Home › Sarees › Silk trail, which Google can show in place of a long web address.
- Free
- No sign-up
- Runs in your browser
Breadcrumbs are the “Home › Category › Page” trail that shows where a page sits on your website. With breadcrumb schema, Google can show that neat trail in your search result in place of a long, messy web address, which helps shoppers see at a glance that you have the category they want. Paste a page address and this tool suggests the levels for you.

Guide
How to use it
- 1Paste the address of the page you want breadcrumbs for and press Suggest levels.
- 2Rename each level to what your menu calls it — “Silk sarees” reads better than “silk-sarees”.
- 3Check every level except the last has a full web address starting with https://.
- 4Look at the preview to make sure the trail reads naturally from left to right.
- 5Copy the code and paste it into that page's <head>. Each page needs its own trail.
What the results mean
- BreadcrumbList
- The schema.org type for a breadcrumb trail. It holds the levels in order, from the home page down to the current page.
- Position
- The number of each level, starting at 1 for the home page. The tool numbers them for you so there are never gaps.
- Absolute URL
- A full address including https:// and your domain, like https://yourshop.in/sarees. A short one like /sarees is relative and Google may not read it.
- Last level
- The page itself. Google allows it without a URL because visitors are already on it, but every level above needs one.
Common questions
Does my page need visible breadcrumbs too?
It should. Google expects structured data to describe what visitors can see, so show the same trail near the top of the page. Most website builders and shop themes have a breadcrumb setting you can switch on.
What if a product sits in two categories?
Pick the path a customer would most naturally follow and use that one. You can add a second BreadcrumbList for another path, but one clear trail is easier for both Google and shoppers to understand.
Why does it warn about mixed hosts?
Your levels point at different domains, for example yourshop.in and www.yourshop.in. That usually means a copy-paste mix-up. Use the same version of your domain everywhere — the one your site actually redirects to.
Will Google always show my breadcrumbs?
No. Correct markup makes you eligible, but Google decides what to show, and on mobile it often shows just the site name. The markup still helps Google understand how your site is organised.
