Favicon Generator
Favicon Generator is a free tool that turns your logo into the small icon shown in browser tabs, Google results and phone home screens, with the code.
- Free
- No sign-up
- Runs in your browser
A favicon is the small icon of your brand shown in browser tabs, bookmarks, next to your site in Googleโs mobile results and on a phoneโs home screen when someone saves your site. Without one, browsers show a blank page icon and Google shows a plain globe, which looks less trustworthy. This tool turns your logo into every size you need, in your browser, with the code to add them.
Your workspace
Your logo stays on your device. Everything is made in your browser โ nothing is uploaded.
Choose your logo
PNG, SVG, JPG or WebP. A square logo, at least 512ร512 pixels, gives the sharpest result.
A solid colour helps a thin or dark logo stand out on dark browser tabs.
Fill in the details above, then press the button to see your result.

Common questions
Does a favicon help my Google ranking?
Not directly. But Google shows your favicon next to your site in mobile search results, and a clear, recognisable icon makes people more likely to click. Google needs it to be at least 48ร48 pixels and square.
I changed my favicon but still see the old one.
Browsers remember favicons for a long time. Open your site in a private window to check. Google can take a few weeks to update the icon in search results.
My logo is wide, with the name written out. Will it work?
It will fit, but the text will be too small to read at 16 pixels. Use just the symbol or the first letter of your brand for the favicon.
Is my logo uploaded anywhere?
No. The icons are drawn in your own browser, and your logo never leaves your device.
