Google Listing Scorecard
The Google Listing Scorecard is a free tool that scores any Google Business Profile out of 100 from 26 questions and gives you a list of what to fix first.

For a local shop, clinic or restaurant, the Google Maps listing brings in more customers than the website does โ and the big SEO tools barely look at it. Work through 26 questions about a listing and get a score out of 100, a breakdown by area, and a prioritised list of what to fix.

Guide
How to use it
- 1Open the Google listing in another tab, so you can look things up as you go.
- 2Answer each question Yes, No or N/A. Nothing is sent anywhere โ the scorecard is built in your browser.
- 3Watch the score and the category bars change as you answer.
- 4Work down the fix list from the top. It is ordered by how much each item actually matters.
Common questions
Why do I have to answer manually instead of it reading the listing?
Reading a live Google listing automatically needs an API that is either paid or approval-gated, and scraping Google breaks their terms. We would rather be straight about that than pretend. Answering takes about five minutes and the result is the same.
What is the single most important thing on a Google listing?
The primary category, followed by reviews. The category decides which searches you appear for at all; reviews decide whether anyone picks you. Photos and posts matter, but not nearly as much as those two.
Can I use this for a client?
Yes โ that is what it is for. Put the business name at the top and print the result as a PDF. It is a client-ready deliverable rather than a screenful of numbers.
