Phone cameras produce photos far larger than Google Business Profile will accept, which is where most owners give up on adding pictures. This shrinks them to the right size in your browser. Nothing is uploaded โ your photos never leave your device.

Common questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The resizing uses your browser's own image handling. No photo is sent to us or to anyone else, which is why this works offline once the page has loaded.
What size does Google want?
Google recommends around 720 by 720 pixels and accepts up to 5MB. We resize the long edge to 1200 pixels, which is comfortably within that while still looking sharp.
Will the quality drop?
Slightly, and not visibly at listing sizes. The saving is usually 80 to 95 percent of the file size for a picture nobody will see at full resolution anyway.
