What the results mean
- Hourly rate
- What an hour of your time is worth. In India in 2026, freelancers typically charge โน500โ800 as beginners, โน800โ2,000 with a few years' experience and โน2,000โ3,500 as seniors.
- Competition level
- How many other businesses are fighting for the same searches. A dentist in a big city faces far more competition than a hardware shop in a small town.
- SEO audit
- A one-time, thorough check of a website and Google listing that finds everything holding it back. It is usually priced separately from the monthly work.
- Price range
- The low end uses the bottom of your hourly rate and the high end the top. Quote near the top when you have results to show.
Common questions
Are these the official SEO rates in India?
There is no official rate. These are 2026 Indian market estimates based on what freelancers and small agencies commonly charge. Treat them as a starting point and adjust for your city and your track record.
Why does e-commerce cost more than a local shop?
Online stores have many more pages, compete with national brands and marketplaces, and need more technical care. The calculator adds extra hours for that.
Should I charge GST on top of this price?
If you are registered for GST, add 18% on top of your fee. The calculator shows prices before tax so you can compare like for like.
How many blog posts should I include each month?
For most local businesses two to four useful articles a month is plenty. Each one takes around four hours to research, write and publish properly.
