Engagement Rate Calculator
Engagement Rate Calculator is a free tool that turns likes, comments, shares and saves into one rate, measured by reach or followers, to compare week to week.
- Free
- No sign-up
- Runs in your browser
Turn likes, comments, shares and saves into one number you can compare week to week, or against another account. Measuring against reach is the fairer comparison; measuring against followers is what most benchmark reports quote, so the tool does both.
Your workspace

Common questions
What is a good engagement rate?
Above 3% is strong for most accounts and above 6% is excellent, but it varies enormously by platform, audience size and industry. Smaller accounts almost always score higher, which is why comparing against your own past posts is more useful than any benchmark.
Should I use reach or followers?
Reach, when you have it โ it measures how many people actually saw the post rather than how many could have. Followers is what public benchmark tables use, so use it when comparing against those.
