Guide
How to use it
- 1Choose your type of business and type your name and city.
- 2Add what you're known for, in one short line, if you like.
- 3Pick a tone and what visitors should do next.
- 4Copy the bio you like and paste it into Edit profile on Instagram.
What the results mean
- Bio
- The short text under your name on your Instagram profile. It can be up to 150 characters, including spaces and emoji.
- Call to action
- The line that tells visitors what to do next, such as Message us or Order online. Without one, people look and leave.
- Name field
- The bold name at the top of your profile, separate from your @username. Instagram search reads it, so adding what you do helps people find you.
Common questions
Do emoji count towards the 150 characters?
Yes. Some emoji count as two or more characters, so the count here is on the safe side. If Instagram says a bio is too long, remove an emoji.
Is anything I type sent anywhere?
No. The bios are built from ready-made templates inside your browser. Nothing is saved or sent.
How often should I change my bio?
Keep the main bio steady, but update it for festivals, big offers or a new branch โ then change it back.
