Email Safety Checker
Upgrowly's free Email Safety Checker tests your domain's SPF, DMARC and mail records to show whether someone could send fake email using your business name.
- Free
- No sign-up
- Runs in your browser
Find out whether someone can send email pretending to be your business. We check SPF, DMARC and your mail records straight from your browser โ the domain you type never reaches our servers. These three settings are what actually decide whether your mail is trusted, far more than any word in the subject line.

How to use it
- 1Enter your website address, not your email address.
- 2Press check. The lookup happens in your browser against Cloudflare's public DNS.
- 3Read each result. SPF and DMARC are the two that matter most.
- 4Send the page to whoever manages your domain โ these are DNS settings and a ten-minute job for them.
What the results mean
- SPF
- A list of the servers allowed to send email using your domain. Without it, anyone can claim to be you.
- DMARC
- Tells receiving servers what to do when an email fails those checks. Set to 'none' it only watches; set to 'reject' it actually blocks the fake.
- MX
- Where your incoming email goes. Missing MX records mean you cannot receive email at all.
Common questions
Why do my emails go to spam?
Missing or weak SPF and DMARC are the usual culprits, followed by sending from a shared host with a poor reputation. Subject-line wording matters far less than people think โ fix the authentication first.
I use Gmail for my business email. Do I still need this?
If you send from yourname@yourbusiness.com through Google Workspace, yes โ those records live on your domain, not Google's, and they are often set up incompletely.
Is my domain sent to your server?
No. The DNS lookup runs in your browser against Cloudflare's public resolver. We never see what you check.
