Campaign Link Builder

Campaign Link Builder is a free UTM tool that builds tracked links, so you can see which ad, post or email brought customers, with tidy values for reports.

  • Free
  • No sign-up
  • Runs in your browser

A campaign link tells you which ad, post or email actually brought a customer, instead of leaving everything lumped under 'direct'. This builds one properly, and cleans up the values so your reports group correctly rather than splitting the same campaign across four spellings.

Guide

How to use it

  1. 1Paste the page you want people to land on.
  2. 2Fill in source (where the link lives), medium (what kind of channel it is) and campaign (which push it belongs to).
  3. 3Leave the cleaning option on. It lowercases everything and turns spaces into underscores.
  4. 4Copy the link and use it everywhere for that campaign โ€” the same link, not a retyped version.

What the results mean

Source
Where the link is published: newsletter, google, instagram, justdial.
Medium
What kind of channel it is: email, cpc, social, qr. Not the platform name again.
Campaign
Which push this belongs to. Add a date or quarter โ€” diwali_sale_2026 still means something in nine months, sale does not.

Common questions

Why do my reports split the same campaign into several rows?

UTM values are case-sensitive, so Newsletter, newsletter and news-letter are three different campaigns as far as analytics is concerned. That is why this tool lowercases and normalises by default.

Do UTM parameters hurt SEO?

Not meaningfully. Google handles them fine, and a canonical tag resolves any duplicate-content worry. Do not use them for internal links on your own site, though โ€” that breaks attribution.

Which parameters do I actually need?

Source, medium and campaign. Term is for paid keywords and content is for telling two links in the same campaign apart, such as a header button versus a footer link.
