How to use it

- 2Look at the two-word phrases as well as single words — 'dental clinic' matters more than either word alone.
- 3If one word is above about 5% of the text, it is being overused.
- 4Write for the customer. If the phrase you want does not appear naturally at all, the page is probably about something else.
Common questions
What is the ideal keyword density?
There is not one, and any tool that gives you a target number is selling a idea Google abandoned long ago. Modern search understands synonyms and meaning. Use this to spot obvious over-repetition, not to hit a percentage.
Does keyword stuffing still hurt?
Yes. It is an explicit spam policy, and it reads badly to humans, which costs you the sale even when it does not cost you the ranking.
Why are common words missing from the results?
Words like 'the', 'and' and 'your' are filtered out. They are the most frequent words in any text and tell you nothing about the subject.
