Domain & SSL Expiry Checker
Domain & SSL Expiry Checker is a free tool that shows when up to 10 domains and their security certificates run out, and explains how to renew each one.
- Free
- No sign-up
- Checks a live page
Two dates can take a business website offline overnight: the day the domain registration runs out, and the day the security certificate (the padlock and https) expires. Both are easy to miss โ the reminder email goes to an old address, or the card on file has expired. This checker looks up both dates for up to 10 domains at once, straight from the domain registry and the public certificate records, and tells you in plain words which need renewing and how.

How to use it
- 1Type the website addresses, one per line โ up to 10.
- 2Press Check expiry dates.
- 3Anything red or amber runs out within 30 days: follow the renewal steps below the table.
- 4Download the CSV to keep a list of renewal dates for all your clients.
- 5Add important sites to SEO Watchdog to be warned automatically next time.
What the results mean
- Domain registration
- Your website's name (like sharmasweets.in) is rented by the year. If the rent is not paid, the website and email stop working and the name can be sold to someone else.
- Registrar
- The company the domain was bought through, such as GoDaddy, Hostinger or BigRock. Renewals happen there.
- SSL certificate
- The file that lets the site use https and show a padlock. When it expires, browsers show a full-page security warning.
- RDAP
- The official, free way to ask a domain registry about a domain โ the modern replacement for WHOIS.
Common questions
Where do these dates come from?
The registration date comes from the domain's own registry over RDAP. The certificate date comes from the public Certificate Transparency records, which list every certificate issued. We never use paid data or scrape anyone's website.
My certificate shows only a few weeks left. Should I worry?
Not always. Free certificates last about three months and renew themselves around 30 days before they end, and some now last only days. We allow for that: we only warn when the newest certificate is closer to its end than a normal renewal would leave it.
Why could a domain not be checked?
A few country registries do not publish expiry dates over RDAP, and the certificate records are sometimes busy. Try again later, or ask your domain provider for the date.
Can I be reminded automatically?
Yes. Add the site to SEO Watchdog (free). It checks both dates once a day and alerts you when either is 30 days away, and again in the final week.
