Page Comparison
Page Comparison is a free tool that puts your page next to a competitor's, row by row, from titles to headings, and picks the three gaps worth closing first.
- Free
- No sign-up
- Checks a live page
When a competitor ranks above you, the reason is often on the page itself. This tool reads your page and a competitor's page and puts them side by side: title and its width in Google, description, headings, word count, links, images and alt text, structured data, canonical tag, share previews and page size. Each row shows who is ahead, and the summary picks the three gaps most worth closing first.

How to use it
- 1Paste the address of your page โ the one you want to rank, such as your services page.
- 2Paste the competitor's page that ranks above you for the same search.
- 3Press Compare pages. We read both pages once each, at the same time.
- 4Start with the three biggest gaps. Fix one, give Google a few weeks, then compare again.
What the results mean
- Title pixel width
- Google cuts titles at about 580 pixels, not a fixed number of letters. Capitals and wide letters use more room. Over the limit, the end is replaced with dots.
- H1 and H2
- The main heading and the section headings on a page. One clear H1 and a few H2s help both readers and Google understand what the page covers.
- Structured data (schema)
- Hidden labels that tell Google facts like 'this is a dentist, open 9 to 7, rated 4.8'. It can earn extra details in search results.
- Internal links
- Links from this page to your other pages. They help visitors move around and help Google see which pages matter most.
Common questions
Will copying my competitor's page make me rank higher?
No โ and copied text can hurt you. Use the comparison to spot missing basics, such as a missing heading or thin content, then write your own version that is more helpful for your customers.
Is more words always better?
Not by itself. But if the pages that rank above you explain far more โ prices, process, FAQs, your area โ your page may simply not answer the searcher's questions yet.
Why are some numbers lower than what I see in the browser?
We read the HTML the server sends. Pages that build their content with JavaScript after loading may show fewer words or links here โ and Google may also see less on its first visit.
