Bulk URL Status & Redirect Checker
Bulk URL Status & Redirect Checker is a free tool that shows which addresses in your list work, which redirect and which are broken, made for website moves.
- Free
- No sign-up
- Checks a live page
When a website moves โ to a new domain, a new platform or a new page structure โ every old address needs to go somewhere sensible, or the ranking it built up is lost. This checker takes a list of up to 25 addresses (500 on paid plans), follows each one's redirects by hand, and shows the status code, the number of redirects, where it ends up and how long it took. Filters pick out the broken pages, temporary redirects, chains and loops, and the notes say exactly what to fix.

Guide
How to use it
- 1Paste your addresses, one per line โ for example an export of old URLs from your previous site or a sitemap.
- 2Press Check all addresses. We check them a few at a time, as UpgrowlyBot, following up to five redirects each.
- 3Read the What to do notes, then use the filters to see only the problems.
- 4Download the CSV, fix the redirects in your hosting panel, plugin or Cloudflare, and run the list again.
What the results mean
- 301 redirect
- A permanent redirect. It tells Google the page has moved for good, so the old page's ranking passes to the new one. Use it for site moves.
- 302 and 307
- Temporary redirects. Google keeps the old address because you said the move is short-term โ a common mistake in migrations.
- 404 not found
- The page does not exist. Old addresses that people or Google still visit should redirect to their new page instead.
- Redirect chain
- Two or more redirects in a row. Each one slows the page and can leak ranking. Point the old address straight at the final one.
- Redirect loop
- Address A sends to B and B sends back to A, so the page never loads. Usually two rules or plugins fighting.
Common questions
Should I redirect all old pages to my home page?
No. Google treats a redirect to an unrelated home page like a missing page, so the old ranking is lost. Redirect each old page to the new page that best matches it, and only use the home page when nothing matches.
Why does an address show 'Blocked by robots.txt'?
That website's robots.txt asks bots like ours not to visit that address, and we always respect it. Open the address yourself in a browser to check it.
How many addresses can I check?
Up to 25 per run and 50 a day for free, or 500 per run and 5,000 a day on paid plans. Addresses we could not reach do not count.
Can I check addresses on someone else's website?
Yes, any public address works, such as links you point to from your own site. We do not check Google or LinkedIn addresses.
